## Charging Your JBL Charge 4: No Fuss, Just Music Right, so you've got yourself a JBL Charge 4, eh? Good choice. They're cracking little speakers, properly solid for tossing in a bag and taking down the park, or just having in the garage while you're tinkering. But like all good things, they need a bit of juice to keep the tunes flowing. I get a lot of mail asking about the best way to charge these, so I figured I'd lay it all out. It's not rocket science, but there are a few bits and bobs worth knowing. ### What You'll Need Honestly, it's pretty straightforward. You won't be needing any fancy gear here. * **The USB-C Cable:** This usually comes in the box with your Charge 4. It's that slightly oval-shaped plug, reversible, so you can't really get it in upside down. A lovely invention, saves a lot of faffing about in the dark. * **A USB Wall Adapter:** The little block you plug into the wall. Most phone chargers these days will do the trick. It’s usually quite snug to keep the water out, which is handy if you’re clumsy like me. Peel that back gently. You’ll see the USB-C port in there, along with a standard USB-A port you can use to charge your phone *from* the speaker – pretty neat, that. 2. **Plug in the USB-C Cable:** Take the USB-C end of your cable and push it firmly into the Charge 4’s charging port. You’ll feel it click into place. Don’t force it, but don’t be shy either. 3. **Connect to Power:** Take the other end of the USB-C cable (the standard USB-A end) and plug it into your wall adapter. Then, plug the adapter into a mains socket. If you
