Or maybe the dog had it for a chew toy. Doesn't matter, the result's the same: you're stuck on whatever input it was last on. If you've got a Vizio TV, you might be scratching your head, wondering how on earth you're supposed to switch over to the Blu-ray player or the gaming console without that clicker. Well, pull up a chair. I've been in this game for over two decades, testing all sorts of gear, and I've certainly run into this very problem more times than I care to admit. Especially when I'm fiddling about with new receivers and I'm using the TV just as a monitor. ### First Things First: Check the TV Itself Honestly, this is the most obvious one, but folk often forget. Most TVs, Vizio included, have some physical buttons on them. They're usually tucked away on the side, underneath, or sometimes even on the back. Have a good feel around. You're looking for things like "Power," "Volume Up/Down," "Channel Up/Down," and importantly, "Input" or "Source." On a lot of Vizio models, these buttons are on the left or right-hand side, near the bottom. Sometimes they're tiny little nubs, almost flush with the frame. Don't be afraid to get a torch and have a proper look. Once you find the "Input" or "Source" button, just press it repeatedly. Each press should cycle through the available inputs – HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Component, AV, and so on. Stop when you hit the one you want.
